Affiliate disclosure

Transparency matters to us. This page explains exactly how Tromsø Trip earns revenue and how — and how not — that affects what you read.

How we earn money

Tromsø Trip contains affiliate links to tours and activities on GetYourGuide and Viator (Partner ID P00305208, a Tripadvisor company). When you click on one of these links and make a booking, we receive a small commission. This commission comes from GetYourGuide or Viator, not from you — you pay the same price whether or not you use our link. There is no extra cost to you whatsoever.

We do not participate in hotel booking affiliates, flight affiliates, car hire affiliates, or any other commercial partnership at this time.

How we identify affiliate links

Links to GetYourGuide and Viator on this site open in a new tab and include rel="sponsored nofollow" in the HTML, as required by Google's guidelines and standard practice for commercial links. Call-to-action buttons labelled "Book now", "Check availability", or "See tours" are affiliate links.

Does this influence our editorial content?

No. Our affiliate relationships do not determine which tours, activities, or experiences we recommend. We recommend things we genuinely believe offer good value and memorable Arctic experiences — and we say clearly when something is overpriced, underwhelming, or worth skipping. Our Honest Tromsø section exists specifically to call out misleading claims and poor-value operators, regardless of whether they have a booking link.

We do not accept payment for placement, sponsored content, or editorial endorsements. All recommendations are independently made.
